With the support of several partners, GrandAngoul\u00eame also organises technical training days for farms and farmers to promote exchanges of good farming practices.<\/p>\n

\n– Production<\/strong> of a varied food supply in the vicinity of a living area of 140,000 inhabitants

#\u00a0<\/strong>CONVERSION TO ORGANIC FARMING<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Since 2017, GrandAngoul\u00eame has been committed to supporting farmers seeking to convert to organic agriculture, with its undeniable benefits for biodiversity and water resources.
\nAny agricultural business in the GrandAngoul\u00eame region may therefore benefit from an initial survey prior to individual conversion, carried out in partnership with the Maison de l\u2019Agriculture Biologique de la Charente [Charente Centre for Organic Farming].<\/p>\n

#\u00a0<\/strong>THE COMMITMENT OF THE COGNAC SECTOR TO ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

The first step is to carry out a survey of farming techniques for each holding<\/strong>. By late 2018, some thirty wine-growers had completed this first step, i.e. 25% of the vineyards in the area.
